Protein subcellular localization, as one of the prerequisite information regarding a novel protein, is required for ensuing functional investigation by experimentalists. Despite of intriguing technical advancements in the past decades, it still remains time-consuming and laborious to experimentally determine protein subcellular localization in a large scale manner. Thus, computational approaches could be preferred to globally predict protein location information and subsequently guide experimental studies.
The methods of protein subcellular localization prediction provided in this web-site is based on the Nearest Neighbor Algorithm incooperated with functional domain composition approach. See more details in our paper(in submission).
